2022 No-Hitters

We will be attempting to keep a record of all no-hitters thrown this year.

March

Riley Grudzielanek, jr., Oak Creek: 3/29 vs. Racine Horlick; Grudzielanek threw a three-inning no-hitter with all nine outs via the strikeout in the 18-0 win. The Northwestern commit also went 3-for-3 at the plate with a home run, double, and five RBIs. 

April

Nicole Fahey, jr., Barneveld: 4/5 vs. Wisconsin Heights; Fahey twirled a 5-inning no-hitter in the Golden Eagles' 10-0 win. Nicole finished with eight strikeouts and four walks in the contest.

Madison Johnson, soph., Tomah: 4/5 vs. Aquinas; Johnson twirled a 5-inning no-hitter with nine strikeouts and one walk in the 24-0 win.  

Kenna Mix and Kendall Heise of New London: 4/5 vs. Weyauwega-Fremont; Mix and Heise combined for a five-inning no-hitter in the Bulldogs' 15-0 victory. Mix, a sophomore, pitched two innings and finished with four strikeouts and two walks while earning the win. Heise, a senior, twirled three innings with four strikeouts and two walks. At the plate, Mix went 2-for-3 with an RBI while Heise went 1-for-2 with a run scored. 

Aeryn Messmann, frosh., Jefferson: 4/5 vs. McFarland; Messmann finished with 10 strikeouts and two walks in the 9-0 victory. 

Ashley Bonin, soph., New Berlin Eisenhower: 4/7 vs. Greendale; Bonin threw a 5-inning no-hitter with 10 strikeouts and no walks in the 10-0 victory. 

Avery Chilson, jr., Lake Mills: 4/11 vs. Marshall; Chilson struck out five and walked three in the 7-0 victory. 

Karlie McKenzie, sr., Monona Grove: 4/11 vs. McFarland; McKenzie tallied 16 strikeouts and no walks in the 3-0 win. 

Madison Schultz and Makayla (Mak) Nortman, Black River Falls: 4/11 vs. Nekoosa; Schultz started the game and left due to a knee injury, and Nortman finished up the 3-inning no-hitter. The Tigers won the contest 20-0. 

Brooke Hock, sr., Green Bay Preble: 4/11 vs. De Pere; Hock twirled a five-inning perfect game with nine strikeouts in the 13-0 win. 

Ashlyn Bennin, sr., Mishicot: 4/12 vs. Cedar Grove-Belgium; Bennin twirled a six-inning no-hitter with 13 strikeouts while allowing just one walk in the 15-0 win. Ashlyn also went 2-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored. 

Peyton Mancl, frosh., Pacelli: 4/12 vs. Pittsville; Mancl struck out five in a three-inning no-hitter. The Cardinals won the game 16-0. 

Riley Grudzielanek, jr., Oak Creek: 4/12 vs. Franklin; Grudzielanek, a Northwestern commit, finished with 16 strikeouts and walked three in the Sabers' 4-0 win against their rival.  

Emma Nottestad, sr., Cambridge: 4/14 vs. Lodi; Nottestad pitched a five-inning no-hitter with seven strikeouts in the Blue Jays' 15-0 victory. 

Ashlyn Enke, frosh., Jefferson: 4/16 vs. East Troy; Enke twirled a five-inning perfect game with eight strikeouts in the 12-0 win. 

Trysta Leech, sr., Thorp: 4/18 vs. Regis; Leech pitched a four-inning no-hitter with eight strikeouts in the 19-0 victory. The only baserunner allowed reached on a hit by pitch. 

Tayler Bscherer, jr., Oconomowoc: 4/19 vs. Waukesha West; Bscherer finished with six strikeouts and two walks while allowing no earned runs in the 6-1 victory. Tayler also went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. 

Taylor Baker, soph., Sun Prairie: 4/19 vs. Madison Memorial; Baker twirled a perfect game with 15 strikeouts in the Cardinals' 9-0 win. At the plate, Taylor had a hit and scored a run. 

Bailey Bienema, soph., Janesville Craig: 4/19 vs. Madison La Follette; Bienema pitched a three-inning no-hitter with seven strikeouts and one walk in the 24-0 win. 

Ella Guelig, Gracie Konkol, and Nevaeh Galligan of St. Mary's Springs: 4/19 vs. Omro; The combined five-inning no-hitter featured nine strikeouts and five walks, and one unearned run in the 21-1 victory. 

Morgan Smetana, sr., Baldwin-Woodville: 4/19 vs. Amery; Smetana pitched a four-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts in the 15-0 win. 

McKenna Diermeier and Hailey Meyer of Elk Mound: 4/19 vs. Glenwood City; Diermeier and Meyer combined for a five-inning no-hitter in the Mounders' 14-0 victory. Diermeier pitched two innings with four strikeouts and a walk while Meyer pitched three innings with four strikeouts and two walks. 

Lindsey Stapleton, frosh., South Milwaukee: 4/21 vs. Cudahy; Stapleton twirled a five-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts and two walks in the Rockets' 21-0 win. Lindsey also went 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs. 

Calley Olson, sr., Bloomer: 4/21 vs. Osseo-Fairchild; Olson pitched a six-inning no-hitter with 14 strikeouts in the 10-0 victory. 

Courtney Donahue, sr., Marshfield: 4/21 vs. Wausau East; Donahue twirled a six-inning no-hitter with 12 strikeouts and a walk in the 10-0 win.  

Gwen Baker, soph., Milton: 4/21 vs. Fort Atkinson; Baker twirled a perfect game with eight strikeouts in the 5-0 victory. 

Nariyah Lot, jr., Janesville Parker: 4/21 vs. Madison La Follette; Lot pitched a three-inning no-hitter with seven strikeouts and two walks in the 17-0 win. 

Bryn Connors, jr., St. Croix Falls: 4/21 vs. Barron; Connors pitched a five-inning no-hitter with nine strikeouts while allowing just two walks in the 11-0 victory. 

Sarah Bystra, frosh., Whitnall: 4/21 vs. Milwaukee Lutheran; Bystra threw a three-inning perfect game with four strikeouts in the 15-0 win. 

Natalhia Oleniczak, frosh., Whitnall: 4/21 vs. Milwaukee Lutheran; Oleniczak twirled a three-inning no-hitter with five strikeouts and one walk in the 15-0 victory. 

Bryn Connors, jr., St. Croix Falls: 4/23 vs. Chetek-Weyerhaeuser; Connors threw a three-inning no-hitter with five strikeouts in the Saints' 16-0 win. 

Emily Kinnunen, jr., Drummond: 4/25 vs. Butternut/Mercer;  Kinnunen threw a 5-inning no-hitter with 13 strikeouts and one walk in the 14-0 win. 

Courtney DenRuyter, soph., Coleman: 4/25 vs. Crivitz; DenRuyter pitched a three-inning no-hitter in the 15-0 victory. Courtney tallied eight strikeouts for the Cougars. 

Carmen Peterson, frosh., La Crosse Central: 4/25 vs. La Crosse Logan; Peterson threw a five-inning no-hitter in the RiverHawks' 11-0 victory. Carmen stuck out seven and walked two in the contest. 

Ellie Peterson, frosh., Northwestern: 4/25 vs. Barron; Peterson tallied 13 strikeouts in the 4-0 win. 

Bryn Connors, jr., St. Croix Falls: 4/26 vs. Ladysmith; Connors twirled a five-inning perfect game in the Saints' 14-0 win over Ladysmith. Bryn finished the game with 11 strikeouts. 

Hannah Aldrich and Lakken McEathron of Chippewa Falls: 4/26 vs. Eau Claire Memorial; Aldrich and McEathron combined to pitch a four-inning perfect game in the Cardinals' 15-0 win. They each pitched two innings with three strikeouts each. 

Karlie McKenzie, sr., Monona Grove: 4/27 vs. Fort Atkinson; McKenzie twirled a five-inning no-hitter with 10 strikeouts while allowing three walks in the 17-0 victory. Karlie also went 3-for-4 with three RBIs in the contest. 

Brianna Bougie, jr., Oshkosh West: 4/27 vs. Neenah; Bougie twirled a five-inning no-hitter with nine strikeouts in the Wildcats' 10-0 win. Brianna also went 3-for-3 at the plate with three RBIs and two runs scored. 

Bryn Connors, jr., St. Croix Falls: 4/28 vs. Cameron; Connors tallied 22 strikeouts with one walk in the 4-0 win. 

Abby Malnar, jr., Brookfield East: 4/28 vs. Wauwatosa West; Malnar recorded a five-inning no-hitter with nine strikeouts and one walk in the 12-1 victory. Abby's sister Eliza was behind the plate for the no-hitter. 

Carlie Jo Brownlee, sr., Riverdale: 4/28 vs. Southwestern; Brownlee pitched a five-inning no-hitter with 12 strikeouts in the 13-1 win. 

Harley Schabel, jr., Mayville: 4/28 vs. Omro; Schabel recorded a five-inning perfect game with six strikeouts in the 10-0 victory. Harley's sister Hayden Schabel was the catcher for the perfect game. 

Ashlyn Enke, frosh., Jefferson: 4/28 vs. Evansville; Enke recorded 15 strikeouts and issued just one walk in the 4-0 win. 

Martha Miller, jr., Medford: 4/28 vs. Tomahawk; Miller twirled a five-inning no-hitter with six strikeouts in the 10-0 win. 

Hannah Aldrich and Lakken McEathron of Chippewa Falls: 4/28 vs. Eau Claire Memorial; Aldrich and McEathron combined for a 3-inning perfect game in the 21-0 route. 

Julia Munoz, soph., Iola-Scandinavia: 4/29 vs. Pittsville; Munoz pitched a five-inning perfect game in the 10-0 victory. Julia finished the contest with seven strikeouts. 

Hailey Zimmermann, jr., Columbus Catholic: 4/29 vs. Gilman; Zimmermann finished with 10 strikeouts in the 7-2 victory. Hailey walked four and allowed one earned run in the contest. 

Naleyah Bork, sr., Freedom: 4/29 vs. Luxemburg-Casco; Bork finished with 11 strikeouts in the 1-0 victory. 

Ally Wall, soph., Prairie du Chien: 4/29 vs. Ithaca; Wall twirled a 5-inning no-hitter with eight strikeouts and one walk in the 16-0 victory. 

May

Ella Guelig and Gracie Konkol of St. Mary's Springs: 5/2 vs. Markesan; Guelig and Konkol combined for a four-inning no-hitter with nine strikeouts in the 17-0 win. Guelig pitched three innings with eight strikeouts and Konkol struck out one in an inning of work. 

Libby Ash and Addison Schauske of Sevastopol: 5/2 vs. Gibraltar; Ash and Schauske combined for a three-inning no-hitter with five strikeouts in the 29-0 route. 

Hannah Aldrich and Lakken McEathron of Chippewa Falls: 5/2 vs. Rice Lake; Aldrich and McEathron combined for a three-inning no-hitter in the 19-0 victory. Aldrich tallied five strikeouts in two innings and McEathron pitched the final inning. This was Chippewa Falls' third consecutive no-hitter. 

Ava Schill, jr., Assumption: 5/2 vs. Marathon; Schill twirled a six-inning perfect game with seven strikeouts in the Royals' 11-0 victory. 

Bri Handel, sr., Wautoma: 5/2 vs. Weyauwega-Fremont; Handel struck out 13 in the 7-0 victory. 

Karlie McKenzie, sr., Monona Grove: 5/4 vs. Watertown; McKenzie twirled a five-inning no-hitter with nine strikeouts and four walks in the 12-0 victory. Karlie also went 1-for-2 at the plate with an RBI. She now has three no-hitters this season. 

Riley Czarnecki, soph., Beaver Dam: 5/4 vs. Fort Atkinson at Watertown; Czarnecki twirled a five-inning no-hitter with eight strikeouts in the 10-0 win. Riley also went 3-for-3 at the plate with a double, three RBIs and two runs scored. 

Hannah Meshnick, sr., Hortonville: 5/5 vs. Appleton West; Meshnick pitched a five-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts in the 10-0 victory. 

Emily Kinnunen, jr. Drummond: 5/5 vs. Flambeau; Kinnunen tallied 16 strikeouts in the 6-2 win. The two Flambeau base runners reached and scored on fielding errors in the 4th inning.  

McKenna Diermeier and Hailey Meyer of Elk Mound: 5/5 vs. Elmwood/Plum City; The second combined no-hitter of the season for the duo. Diermeier tallied 10 strikeouts in five innings and Meyer pitched a clean sixth inning to complete the six-inning no-hitter. Elk Mound won the contest 10-0. 

Brianna Bougie, jr., Oshkosh West: 5/6 vs. Appleton West; Bougie twirled a five-inning perfect game with seven strikeouts in the 11-0 victory. 

Sydney Vitangcol, frosh., Wisconsin Lutheran: 5/6 vs. Pewaukee; Vitangcol twirled a five-inning no-hitter while striking out 14 of the 16 batters faced in the 14-0 win. At the plate, Sydney went 3-for-3 with a home run two RBI and three runs scored, finishing a single short of the cycle. 

Haley Dwyer, sr., Sussex Hamilton: 5/6 vs. Wauwatosa West; Dwyer twirled no-hitters in the doubleheader victory. In the first game, she pitched a three-inning no-hitter in the 20-0 win. Dwyer pitched a five-inning no-hitter in game two of the doubleheader in which the Chargers won 13-0. Haley struck out seven in the two no-hitters. 

Whitney Myers, frosh., Grantsburg: 5/6 vs. Turtle Lake/Clayton; Myers pitched a four-inning no-hitter with four strikeouts and three walks in the 15-0 win. 

Gabriella Goarl and Audrey Baugnet (both freshman) of Denmark: 5/6 vs. Clintonville; Goarl and Bugnet combined for a four-inning no-hitter in the 16-0 victory. 

Ellie Peterson (frosh.), Ruby Moore (sr.), Ashlyn Sutherland (frosh.) of Northwestern: 5/6 vs. Cameron; Peterson, Moore, and Sutherland combined for the four-inning no-hitter during the 27-0 route. Peterson started the game, striking out seven over three innings. At the plate, Peterson went 4-for-4, Moore went 3-for-4, and Sutherland also had multiple hits in the win. 

Emily Kinnunen, jr. Drummond: 5/7 vs. Spencer; Kinnunen pitched a four-inning perfect game while strikeout out all 12 batters in the 15-0 win. Emily also went 2-for-4 with two home runs, the second of which ended the game via the run rule. 

Lexi Schultz, frosh., River Falls: 5/7 vs. St. Paul Johnson, Minn.; Schultz twirled a five-inning no-hitter with 13 strikeouts while allowing two walks in the 16-0 victory. This was Lexi's first career start. 

Kaeley Niemiec, soph., Menomonee Falls: 5/7 vs. Tomah at the Sun Prairie Tournament; Niemiec pitched a five-inning no-hitter in the 10-0 win. Kaeley struck out 12 of the 15 batters she faced. 

Lindsey Thoennes, jr., Racine Lutheran: 5/7 vs. Dominican; Thoennes pitched a five-inning perfect game with nine walks in the 13-0 win. She also went 2-for-3 with a triple, double and three RBIs. This was first five-inning perfect game in Racine Lutheran program history. 

EmmaJo Peck, jr., Columbus: 5/9 vs. Madison East; Peck threw a five-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts and no walks in the 10-0 victory. 

Ashlyn Bennin, sr., Mishicot: 5/9 vs. Reedsville; Bennin pitched a three-inning no-hitter with two strikeouts and a walk in the 20-0 win. 

Kendal Walek, jr., Racine Case: 5/9 vs. Milwaukee King; Walek threw a four-inning no-hitter with nine strikeouts and a walk in the 16-0 victory. At the plate, Kendal went 4-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. 

Rebecca Kroll, sr., Luxemburg-Casco: 5/9 vs. Clintonville; Kroll finished with 15 strikeouts and two walks in the 3-0 win. 

Emily Jandrin, sr., Luxemburg-Casco: 5/9 vs. Clintonville; Jandrin pitched a three-inning no-hitter with the 20-0 win in the second game of the doubleheader. 

Nicole Fahey, jr., Barneveld: 5/9 vs. Monticello/New Glarus; Fahey twirled a five-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts and a walk in the 10-0 victory. Nicole went 3-for-4 at the plate in the game.

Abby Johnson, sr. Mondovi: 5/9 vs Glenwood City; Johnson threw a five-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 11-0 victory,

Ellie Peterson, frosh., Northwestern: 5/9 vs. Ladysmith; Peterson pitched a five-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts and no walks in the 17-0 win. At the plate, Peterson went 4-for-4 with a triple and a double. 

EmmaJo Peck, jr., Columbus: 5/10 vs. Watertown Luther Prep; Peck threw a five-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts and two walks in the 14-0 victory.

Hannah Aldrich and Lakken McEathron of Chippewa Falls: 5/10 vs River Falls; Aldrich and McEathron combined for their fourth no-hitter of the season in a 14-0 win over River Falls. The duo struck out 11 batters.

Ava Smith, sr., Onalaska: 5/10 vs Sparta; Smith struck out two and walked one in a three-inning 17-0 win over Sparta. 

Zoey Vaara and Lily Borst of Northwood/Solon Springs: 5/10 vs. Clear Lake; Vaara and Borst combined for the five-inning no-hitter in the 10-0 victory. Vaara twirled the first four innings of no-hit ball while Borst pitched the fifth inning to complete the no-hitter. 

Haley Zembo, jr., Superior: 5/11 vs. Hermantown (MN); Zembo struck out 15 in the 4-0 win.

Lindsey Thoennes, jr., Racine Lutheran: 5/11 vs. Living Word Lutheran; Thoennes twirled a 3-inning no-hitter with no walks in the 15-0 victory. 

Emily Kinnunen, jr., Drummond: 5/12 vs. Washburn; Kinnunen struck out eight of nine batters in a perfect game that finished 15-0 in three innings; first game of double header, as she also threw a no-hitter in second game as well.

Emily Kinnunen, jr., Drummond: 5/12 vs. Washburn; Kinnunen struck out eight of 10 batters in the second game of doubleheader won 19-0 in three innings; Kinnunen also threw a three-inning no-hitter in the first game of the doubleheader.

Alivya Young, soph., Ithaca: 5/12 vs. North Crawford; Young threw a three-inning no-hitter with five strikeouts and one walk in the 20-0 win. 

Mallorie Kreuser, frosh., Verona: 5/12 vs. Madison La Follette; Kreuser pitched a three-inning perfect game while striking out eight in the 21-0 win. 

Bentley Cutts, soph., Iowa Grant: 5/14 vs. Black River Falls during the championship game of the Viroqua Tournament; Cutts twirled a five-inning no-hitter with 13 strikeouts while walking just two in the 10-0 victory. Bentley also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored. 

Calley Olson, sr., Bloomer: 5/14 vs. Weyauwega-Fremont; Olson twirled a six-inning perfect game in the 10-0 victory. Calley struck out 15 of the 18 hitters. In the second game of the doubleheader, Olson allowed just one hit with 11 strikeouts over five innings in the 11-0 win. 

Abby Johnson, sr., Mondovi: 5/16 vs Elmwood/Plum City; Johnson threw a five-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk in the 6-1 win, giving up an unearned run. It is Johnson's second no-hitter of the season.

Haley Zembo, jr., Superior: 5/18 vs Proctor; Zembo struck out 16 as Superior knocked off Proctor 5-0. Proctor was previously unbeaten as Superior won the Lake Superior Conference title behind Zembo's pitching gem.

Kayla Radtke, sr., Marathon: 5/19 vs. Montello in a WIAA Regional; Radtke pitched a four-inning no-hitter in the Red Raiders' 16-0 win. 

Nilea Guns, soph., Crivitz: 5/21 vs Gibraltar in WIAA Regional; Guns struck out eight and walked one in the 21-0 regional victory over Gibraltar/Washington Island. She also went two for three from the plate with a double, triple and and RBI.

Naleyah Bork, sr., Freedom: 5/24 vs Fox Valley Lutheran in WIAA Regional; Bork struck out 11 in the four-inning, 15-0 win in the Regional semi-finals. She added two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs from the plate.

Macey Clark, sr., Winneconne: 5/24 vs Xavier in WIAA Regional; Clark pitched a perfect game in the 6-0 win over Xavier. She struck out 13 batters without allowing a single base runner.

Brooke Hock & Katie Geydoshek, Green Bay Preble: 5/24 vs Green Bay West/East in WIAA Regional; Hock and Geydoshek combined to pitch a no-hitter in the four-inning, 17-0 win over Green Bay West/East. The duo recorded all 12 outs via the strikeout.

Maddie Parker, soph., Eau Claire North: 5/24 vs Menomonie in WIAA Regional; Parker struck out 12 batters through seven innings in a tight 1-0 win in the regional semis. The only base runners reached on fielding errors.

Sam Olson, sr., Fall Creek: 5/24 vs Spring Valley in WIAA Regional; Olson pitched a four-inning no-hitter in the 15-0 win in the regional semis. She struck out nine batters through the four innings.

Makayla Wirkus, soph., Edgar: 5/24 vs Bowler/Gresham in WIAA Regional; Wirkus pitched a three-inning perfect game in the 18-0 victory. The sophomore struck out eight of the nine batters she faced on the mound while going two for three with a triple and four RBIs at the plate.

Mari Szews, sr., Three Lakes: 5/24 vs. Tigerton in a WIAA Regional; Szews finished with 17 strikeouts in the 4-0 victory. The only two baserunners allowed were in the seventh inning when Szews walked two, one of which was caught stealing by Mari's younger sister Kaya who was the catcher for the no-hitter.

Madelynn Fuller, sr., Oshkosh West: 5/24 vs. Sheboygan North in a WIAA Regional; Fuller pitched a three-inning no-hitter with four strikeouts and two walks in the 17-0 win. 

Emily Kinnunen, jr., Drummond: 5/26 vs. Butternut/Mercer in a WIAA Regional Final; Kinnunen finished with 17 strikeouts and walked two in the 7-0 victory which was her sixth no-hitter of the season. 

Emily Kinnunen, jr., Drummond: 5/31 vs. Mellen in a WIAA Sectional Semifinal; Kinnunen struck out 16 and issued just one walk in the 5-0 victory. She also went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored. Emily now has seven no-hitters on the season. 

Makayla Wirkus, soph., Edgar: 5/31 vs. Newman Catholic in a WIAA Sectional Semifinal; Wirkus twirled a perfect game with 16 strikeouts in the 7-0 win. At the plate, she added two hits. 

Gwen Baker, soph., Milton: 5/31 vs. Kettle Moraine in a WIAA Sectional Semifinal; Baker pitched a perfect game with five strikeouts in the 1-0 victory. 

Lindsey Thoennes, jr., Racine Lutheran: 5/31 vs. Dodgeland/Hustisford in a WIAA Sectional Semifinal; Thoennes finished with 12 strikeouts and one walk in the 7-0 victory. She also went 2-for-4 with a double and four RBIs. Thoennes's third no-hitter of the season and the program's first-ever 7-inning no-hitter. 

June

Aeryn Messmann, frosh., Jefferson: 6/2 vs. Mt. Horeb in a WIAA Division 2 Sectional Final; Messmann finished with seven strikeouts and just one walk in the 5-0 victory to send the Eagles to their second consecutive trip to the state tournament. Messmann was perfect through 6 2/3 innings before issuing a walk.

Makayla Wirkus, soph., Edgar: 6/2 vs. Sevastopol in a WIAA Division 5 Sectional Final; Wirkus twirled a perfect game with seven strikeouts in the 11-0 win. She also tallied two hits and two RBIs.
