Bio Among the staples of the numerous highly successful Lancaster football teams over the years has been a poised, versatile quarterback to direct the option attack. Tranel could be one of the best at the position under head coach John Hoch. Last season he was the SWC Offensive Player of the Year after passing for 1127 yards and 14 touchdowns while rushing for 1181 yards and 20 scores. The Flying Arrows return a ton of talent on offense, and Tranel has a good shot to repeat or even improve upon last season. He's very good at running the triple option, using his size and speed to break into the clear on keepers. On rollouts, play action, or straight dropbacks, he has good mechanics and does a good job keeping his eyes downfield to connect with receivers.
